It's been prototyped, but...

...like all coding effort, the devil is in the details. And the details are defined by the QA effort surrounding the implementation.

It won't be in 8.0.0 because there isn't sufficient time to properly test a feature set of that scope, and IBM doesn't want to ship a product of Vista-like quality.
